Welcome to The 3 Little Pigs, a delightful short bedtime story for children in English. Join us on this fun adventure of courage and cleverness!
Chapter 1: Building the Houses
Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who lived with their mother. One day, she said, “You are all grown up now. It’s time for you to build your own houses.” The three little pigs were excited and decided to go out into the world.
The first little pig was very lazy. He wanted to build his house quickly so he could play. He found some straw and began to build. “This will be easy!” he said, laughing as he stacked the straw high.
The second little pig worked a little harder. He decided to build his house with sticks. “Sticks are stronger than straw,” he thought. He gathered many sticks and built his house. “Now I can play too!” he shouted.
The third little pig was very wise. He wanted his house to be strong and safe. He chose bricks and worked hard all day. He mixed the mud and laid each brick carefully. “This will take time, but it will be worth it,” he said with a smile.
After a few days, all three houses were finished. The first pig danced around his straw house, the second pig played near his stick house, and the third pig admired his sturdy brick house.
Chapter 2: The Big Bad Wolf
One sunny morning, a big bad wolf came to the forest. He was hungry and smelled the pigs nearby. “I will have a delicious meal!” he growled.
The wolf went to the first little pig’s straw house. He knocked on the door and said, “Little pig, little pig, let me come in!”
“Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!” squeaked the first little pig.
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down!” roared the wolf.
And he huffed and puffed and blew the straw house down! The first little pig ran away as fast as he could to his brother’s stick house.
The wolf chased after him and soon arrived at the second little pig’s stick house. He knocked on the door again and said, “Little pig, little pig, let me come in!”
“Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!” squeaked the second little pig.
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down!” roared the wolf.
And he huffed and puffed and blew the stick house down! Both pigs ran as fast as they could to their brother’s brick house.
Chapter 3: The Strong Brick House
The two little pigs arrived at their brother’s brick house, panting with fear. “Let us in! The big bad wolf is chasing us!” they cried.
The third little pig quickly locked the door and said, “Don’t worry! We will be safe here.”
The wolf came to the brick house and knocked on the door again. “Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!”
“Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins!” shouted all three pigs together.
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down!” roared the wolf.
He huffed and puffed with all his might, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not blow down the strong brick house. The wolf was very angry but didn’t give up.
Next, he climbed onto the roof to sneak in through the chimney. But the clever third little pig had a smart idea! He built a big fire in the fireplace and put a pot of water on to boil.
When the wolf came down through the chimney, he fell right into the pot of boiling water! With a loud yelp, he jumped out and ran away as fast as he could.
The three little pigs cheered happily! They were safe at last!
From that day on, they lived together in their strong brick house. They played every day without fear of the big bad wolf ever coming back again.
And so, they learned that hard work pays off in safety and happiness.
