Raven Teen Titans sat quietly in her room, reading a big book of spells. Her cloak covered her like a blanket, and the room was dark except for a tiny purple glow from her hands.

She liked the quiet. It helped her feel calm. But that night, something felt strange.

Suddenly, the lights in the Tower flickered. Then, they went out completely.

Boom!

A loud crash came from the hallway.

Raven floated out of her room, her eyes glowing. “What was that?” she whispered.

She found Beast Boy holding a flashlight, shaking. “Raven! All the lights are gone. Even Starfire’s glowing hair stopped glowing!”

“That’s not normal,” Raven said. “Let’s find the others.”

Robin and Cyborg were already in the control room. The screens were black.

“There’s no power anywhere,” said Cyborg. “Even my robot arm is slow!”

Robin pointed to the window. “Look. The city lights are out too.”

Outside, everything was dark. No street lights. No stars. Not even the moon.

“It’s like something ate all the light,” Beast Boy said, turning into a bat. “I’ll fly around and check!”

He came back minutes later. “There’s a dark fog floating over the park. It’s… alive.”

Raven Teen Titans closed her eyes and whispered a spell. “Azarath Metrion Zinthos…”

She saw a vision—something old and shadowy had woken up beneath the city. It fed on light and joy. It was growing stronger.

“We have to stop it,” she said.

“But how?” asked Starfire.

“With light,” Raven said calmly. “And not just the kind from lamps.”

The team followed Raven to the park. The fog was thick and cold. They couldn’t see anything.

Raven floated into the air, her cloak fluttering like wings.

“Stay close!” she shouted. “Think of your happiest memories!”

Cyborg remembered dancing in the kitchen. Beast Boy thought of pizza day. Starfire imagined flying through the clouds. Robin smiled, thinking of training with his team.

The dark fog hissed. It didn’t like happy thoughts.

Raven Teen Titans raised her hands. Her magic glowed brighter.

“I remember laughing with all of you,” she said. “And I remember learning to smile.”

A beautiful purple light burst from her heart.

It pushed the fog back. The darkness screamed and disappeared like smoke in the wind.

Suddenly, the stars came back. The moon shone above them. The city lights blinked on one by one.

The team cheered.

“You did it, Raven!” Beast Boy hugged her.

Raven gave a tiny smile. “We all did it. Together.”

That night, the Tower was warm and bright again. Raven went back to her book, but this time, she left the door open.

Just in case her friends wanted to come in and talk.
