Mega Zygarde: The Guardian of the Core

Far below the surface of the Kalos region, hidden away from the warmth of the sun and the chaos of the outside world, lies Terminus Cave. It is not a dark, terrifying abyss. Instead, it is a breathtaking, silent ecosystem. The walls of the massive underground caverns are lined with millions of ancient, hexagonal crystals that emit a soft, pulsing, emerald-green light.

The only sound in this peaceful subterranean world is the gentle, echoing drip, drip, drip of mineral water falling into perfectly clear underground pools.

Hanging upside down from a stalactite near the ceiling was a small, purple bat Pokémon known as Noibat. Its massive, sensitive ears twitched at the slightest sound. Noibat loved the absolute tranquility of Terminus Cave.

As the little bat fluttered down to take a drink from a cool pool of water, it noticed something strange resting on a flat rock. It was a single, small, squishy green entity. It looked like a tiny, flat worm with a bright red hexagon in its center. It was a Zygarde Cell. It had no power, no voice, and no ability to defend itself. It simply lay there, glowing softly in the dark.

Curious, Noibat nudged the little green cell with its wing. The cell pulsed warmly.

Suddenly, Noibat’s massive ears flattened violently against its head. A deep, unnatural rumbling vibrated through the bedrock. It was not an earthquake. It was the sound of heavy, incredibly violent footsteps approaching.

The walls of the cavern exploded inward.

A massive, terrifying cloud of jagged rock and dust filled the glowing cave. Stepping through the rubble was a colossal, heavily armored beast. It was Tyranitar. The dark and rock-type dinosaur was far away from its natural mountain habitat, driven completely mad by a blind, aggressive territorial rage.

Tyranitar let out a deafening, monstrous roar that shattered the delicate, ancient green crystals hanging from the ceiling. Sharp shards of glass rained down like daggers. The peaceful ecosystem was being violently destroyed in seconds.

Tyranitar stomped its heavy, clawed foot, preparing to unleash an Earthquake that would collapse the entire cavern. But directly in its path was the flat rock holding the helpless Zygarde Cell.

Noibat, terrified but incredibly brave, flew directly in front of the massive dinosaur. The little bat opened its mouth and fired a high-frequency Supersonic attack, sending visible rings of sound waves crashing into Tyranitar’s face.

The attack barely scratched the monster’s thick armor, but it annoyed the beast. Tyranitar’s red eyes locked onto the tiny bat. The dinosaur raised its massive, heavy tail, ready to completely crush Noibat and the glowing green cell beneath it.

Noibat closed its eyes, wrapping its wings around the helpless cell.

But the blow never landed.

The tiny Zygarde Cell suddenly erupted with a blinding, piercing green light. The red hexagon on its back flashed like a frantic alarm beacon. Instantly, the walls, the floor, and the ceiling of Terminus Cave began to glow. From every crack and crevice in the rocks, thousands of glowing green Zygarde Cells poured out like a river of pure light.

The cells swarmed together, swirling in a massive, blinding tornado of cellular energy between Noibat and the towering Tyranitar. The light compressed, shaping itself into a sleek, aerodynamic form.

When the green light shattered, a fierce, canine warrior stood in the cavern. It was Zygarde 10% Forme.

The black and green hound growled, a vibrant green leash of energy glowing fiercely around its neck. It moved with breathtaking speed, launching itself forward and striking Tyranitar with a lightning-fast Bite attack. The heavy dinosaur staggered backward, surprised by the incredible velocity of the beast.
