Lily was a sweet little girl who loved playing with her dolls and spending time with her friends from school. She had two brothers, but they were always busy playing sports or video games, so Lily would often play alone or with her school friends. Her favorite games were tea parties with her dolls, where she pretended to serve them fancy food. But what she loved most was ice cream, especially chocolate ice cream!
One sunny day, as the school year was ending, everyone was excited because summer vacation was just around the corner. It was the last day of school, and Lily was feeling a little sad about not seeing her friends every day. But to her surprise, something wonderful happened during the end-of-year assembly. The principal stood up and announced, “Today, we want to celebrate one special student who has worked hard all year and has been a kind friend to everyone.”
Lily’s heart began to race. Could it be her?
“And that special student is… Lily!” the principal said with a big smile. Lily was so surprised that she almost dropped her backpack! She walked up to the front of the room, and the principal handed her a shiny golden coupon.
“This is a very special coupon,” the principal explained. “It will let you eat chocolate ice cream for free all summer long at the best ice cream shop in town—Salt and Straw!”
Lily’s eyes widened with excitement. Free chocolate ice cream? She couldn’t believe it!
Chapter 2: The Fun Ice Cream Adventure
That afternoon, Lily couldn’t wait to tell her family about the golden coupon. “Guess what, everyone! I can eat chocolate ice cream all summer for free!” she said, jumping up and down.
Her brothers were a little jealous, but they were happy for her. The next day, Lily’s mom took her to Salt and Straw, the famous ice cream shop. As they walked in, the delicious smell of waffles and chocolate filled the air. Lily’s eyes lit up when she saw all the different ice cream flavors behind the glass, but she knew exactly what she wanted—chocolate!
The worker at the counter smiled when he saw her golden coupon. “Wow, you’ve got the magic coupon! Let’s make your chocolate ice cream extra special,” he said. He made a huge ice cream cone, bigger than any she had ever seen. It was so tall, it almost touched her nose!
But just as Lily was about to take her first bite, something funny happened. The cone wobbled and wiggled, and before she knew it, the ice cream began to fall! Luckily, Lily caught it with her other hand, and everyone in the shop cheered. “Ice cream hero!” someone shouted, making everyone laugh.
Lily happily ate her giant cone, knowing it was the start of a summer full of chocolate ice cream adventures. She couldn’t wait to come back for more!
