Mikey liked to look for pretty flowers, colorful butterflies, and funny-looking rocks. But there was one thing that scared him: dragons. Mikey had heard stories about dragons that roared and breathed fire. They were big and scary! He often thought, “What if I meet a dragon today?”
But Mikey loved his adventures too much to let fear stop him. So, one sunny morning, he decided to explore a new part of the forest. “Maybe I will find something special today!” he said to himself, feeling excited.
As Mikey walked deeper into the woods, he saw tall trees that touched the sky. Birds sang sweet songs above him. Suddenly, he heard a rustling sound in the bushes. Mikey’s heart started to race. “What if it’s a dragon?” he whispered.
He took a deep breath and peeked through the leaves. To his surprise, it was only a little rabbit hopping by. Mikey laughed and said, “You scared me, little bunny!” He felt brave again and continued his adventure.
Chapter 2: The Mysterious Cave
Mikey walked for a long time until he found a big, dark cave. The entrance was covered with vines and moss. “Wow! I have never seen this cave before,” he said, feeling a mix of excitement and fear.
“What if a dragon lives in there?” he thought, but his curiosity was stronger than his fear. He took a step closer and called out, “Hello? Is anyone there?”
There was silence at first, but then he heard a soft voice. “Help! Help!” it cried. Mikey’s heart raced again. “It sounds like someone is in trouble!” he said.
Mikey took a deep breath and stepped into the cave. It was dark and cool inside. He followed the sound of the voice until he saw something shiny. It was a baby dragon! The little dragon was stuck under some rocks.
“Oh no! A dragon!” Mikey gasped. But then he noticed the baby dragon was not scary at all. It had big, sad eyes and looked frightened. “Don’t worry, little dragon. I will help you!” Mikey said bravely.
Mikey pushed the rocks away carefully, and soon the baby dragon was free. The dragon smiled and flapped its tiny wings. “Thank you, kind boy!” it said. Mikey couldn’t believe his ears. A dragon could talk!
Chapter 3: A New Friendship
The baby dragon looked up at Mikey with gratitude. “My name is Spark. I got lost while flying. Can you help me find my way home?” Mikey felt happy. “Of course, Spark! I’d love to help you!”
Together, they left the cave and started to search for Spark’s home. As they walked through the forest, they saw beautiful flowers and tall trees. Mikey showed Spark the colorful butterflies and funny-looking rocks he loved so much.
Spark flapped his wings and flew around Mikey, making him laugh. “You’re not scary at all!” Mikey said. “You’re my friend!” Spark smiled, and they both felt brave together.
After a while, they reached a big mountain. “This is where my family lives!” Spark said excitedly. Mikey watched as Spark flew up to the top of the mountain. “Thank you for helping me!” Spark called down. “You are the best friend a dragon could have!”
Mikey felt proud. He had faced his fear and made a new friend. “I will come visit you again, Spark!” Mikey shouted.
From that day on, Mikey and Spark had many adventures together. Mikey learned that not all dragons are scary, and Spark learned that friendship is the greatest treasure of all. And so, they lived happily ever after, exploring the magical forest side by side.
