Halloween had finally arrived, and Andy’s room was buzzing with excitement. The toys had been preparing all day, turning the room into their very own Halloween party space. Little paper bats dangled from the lamp, tiny pumpkins made from orange paper cups sat on the shelves, and Rex had managed to get stuck in fake spiderwebs more than once.
Woody tipped his hat and looked around proudly. “Well, partners, this is shaping up to be the best Toy Story Halloween yet!”
Buzz Lightyear floated down from the bed, his wings flicking shut. “To infinity, and beyond… with extra candy!” he declared, checking that the lanterns made from glow sticks were shining brightly.
Jessie spun in her cowgirl hat. “I can’t wait for our spooky story contest tonight!”
The toys gathered around, laughing and chatting, when suddenly a strange sound broke the cheerful mood. Creeeak. The closet door creaked open by itself, even though no one was near it.
Mr. Potato Head dropped one of his candy pieces. “Did… did anyone invite a ghost to this party?”
Hamm snorted. “Probably just the wind. Nothing to be afraid of.”
But Slinky Dog’s ears twitched. “That didn’t sound like the wind. It sounded… spooky.”
The toys looked at each other nervously. Woody, being the bravest, stepped forward. “Alright, gang. Whatever it is, we’ll face it together.”
Buzz saluted. “Agreed. Toys, to the closet!”
They crept closer, lantern light casting shadows on the floor. Suddenly, something rolled out from the darkness—a pumpkin. But this wasn’t an ordinary Halloween pumpkin. It glowed bright green, pulsing like it had a heartbeat.
Rex hid behind Jessie. “A-a-alive! The pumpkin is alive!”
The pumpkin wobbled, then cracked open with a pop! Out flew a group of tiny, glowing bats. Instead of being scary, they giggled like children, fluttering around the toys and dropping pieces of candy into their hands.
Jessie laughed and clapped. “Well, I’ll be hog-tied! They’re Halloween helpers!”
Buzz puffed out his chest. “Clearly, they come in peace. A new kind of intergalactic tradition!”
Woody grinned. “Looks like this Toy Story Halloween just turned into an adventure.”
The bats twirled in the air, leaving trails of sparkling dust, before swooping back into the glowing pumpkin. With another cheerful pop, the pumpkin sealed itself again, still glowing faintly.
The toys cheered with relief and excitement. Mr. Potato Head stuffed candy into his mouth. “Well, if this is what spooky means, I’ll take it every year!”
From there, the celebration truly began. Jessie told a ghost story so funny that Rex laughed until his tail knocked over a paper bat. Hamm made everyone chuckle by pretending to be a “vampire piggy bank” who only accepted chocolate coins. Even Bullseye joined in, prancing around with a pumpkin bucket tied to his saddle.
Buzz dimmed the lanterns just enough to make the room glow with a cozy, spooky light. “Toys,” he announced, “tonight we discovered that Halloween is not about being afraid—it’s about friendship, laughter, and maybe even a little magic.”
Woody nodded, raising his hat. “Couldn’t have said it better myself. Now, let’s make this a Halloween to remember.”
The toys danced, shared candy, and laughed late into the night. The glowing pumpkin stayed in the middle of the room, reminding them of the magical visitors who had made this Halloween so special.
And from that year on, every Halloween, the toys gathered around the pumpkin, waiting for their glowing friends to return. It became their favorite tradition—a Toy Story Halloween full of surprises, laughter, and adventures they would never forget.
