This bedtime story follows My Melody and Kuromi on a special Valentine’s Day adventure, where kindness and surprises bring them closer together.

Chapter 1: A Funny Rivalry

Kuromi always thought of My Melody as her rival. My Melody was too sweet, too kind, and too happy all the time! No matter how many pranks Kuromi played on her, My Melody never got mad. She would just smile and say, “Oh, Kuromi! You’re so funny!”

On Valentine’s Day morning, Kuromi had a new prank ready. She made a box of chocolates… but filled them with spicy peppers! “This is going to be so funny!” she giggled.

As Kuromi sneaked toward My Melody’s house, she saw something surprising. My Melody was in the kitchen, baking heart-shaped cookies. She hummed a happy tune, her pink hood bouncing as she moved.

Curious, Kuromi hid behind a tree and listened. Flat, My Melody’s little mouse friend, asked, “Who are those cookies for, My Melody?”

“Oh, these?” My Melody said with a smile. “They’re for Kuromi! I know she likes to act tough, but I want her to feel special today.”

Kuromi’s eyes widened. “She… made those for me?” she whispered. A warm feeling spread in her chest.

For the first time, she hesitated. Was she really going to prank My Melody after seeing how kind she was? Kuromi crossed her arms. “Ugh, why does she have to be so nice?” she grumbled. She turned around, leaving the spicy chocolates behind.

Chapter 2: A Sweet Surprise

Later that day, Kuromi sat on a tree branch, swinging her legs. Baku, her little bat friend, noticed she was quiet. “Hey, Kuromi, what’s wrong? You look different today.”

“I… I don’t know, Baku. My Melody made me something special for Valentine’s Day. For me! And all this time, I’ve been trying to prank her. It’s annoying! But also… kinda nice?” Kuromi huffed.

Before Baku could answer, My Melody walked up with a small pink box tied with a red ribbon. “Kuromi! There you are!” she said happily.

Kuromi nearly fell off the branch. She quickly jumped down, trying to look cool. “Oh, hey, My Melody. What do you want?”

My Melody held out the box. “Happy Valentine’s Day! I made these cookies just for you. I hope you like them!”

Kuromi hesitated before taking the box. She opened it and saw adorable heart-shaped cookies decorated with little skull designs just for her. She felt her cheeks turn pink. “You… made these for me?”

“Of course!” My Melody beamed. “Because you’re my friend!”

Kuromi’s heart skipped a beat. No one had ever done something so nice for her before. She looked away, scratching her cheek. “Tch. Well… thanks, I guess.”

She took a bite of a cookie. It was warm, soft, and sweet—just like My Melody. Her face turned even redder.

“Y-you know, My Melody… you’re not so bad,” Kuromi muttered. “Actually… you’re kinda amazing. And maybe, just maybe, I don’t really hate you.”

My Melody giggled. “Oh, Kuromi! You’re so funny!”

Kuromi groaned. “Ugh, don’t make me regret this!” But even as she complained, she was smiling.

As the sun set over Mary Land, Kuromi and My Melody sat together, sharing cookies and laughter. It was the best Valentine’s Day Kuromi had ever had.
