- The Kawaii Cat: You can leave her fur snowy white or make her a sweet calico kitten with orange and dark patches. Make sure to color the insides of her ears a soft, warm pink.
- The Winter Outfit and Present: Use classic holiday colors like bright cherry red and emerald green for her hat and scarf. The wrapped present can be a shiny gold or a vibrant royal blue with a big silver ribbon.
- The Christmas Tree: Color the pine branches a deep, rich green. Use a rainbow of colors for the round ornaments—yellow, purple, pink, and blue—and make the star at the very top glow with a bright, sunny yellow!
Fun Facts about Cats and the Winter Season!
Did you know that coloring is a great time to learn? Here are some fun facts to share with your kids while they decorate their Christmas kitten:
- Cats have a naturally higher body temperature than humans, which is why they love curling up near warm fireplaces or sleeping on top of cozy winter blankets.
- Even though they look very elegant, most cats have a thick undercoat of fur that grows in the winter to keep them warm and comfortable during the cold months.
- Cats are absolutely fascinated by shiny objects, which is why they often try to play with the sparkling ornaments and bright lights hanging on the Christmas tree!
