The Squishy Society Episode 6 The Bathtub Rescue
The toys gathered around Bao in the center of the quiet bedroom. The round dumpling squishy had a serious expression on his face. He announced that a small plastic boat was left on the edge of the bathroom bathtub by the little girl Maya. The toys knew the bathroom was a dangerous, slippery, and difficult place to navigate. If the boat fell into the deep tub, it might slide all the way down to the drain and disappear forever. They had to act fast before morning arrived.
Bao looked around at his friends and chose Cheddar, the bright yellow cheese squishy, and Taba, the translucent sticky bear paw, for this specific mission. Cheddar smiled broadly and stretched his yellow arms to show he was ready for heavy lifting. Taba waved her sticky pink fingers happily. They always wanted to help a lost toy, and they knew their unique skills were perfect for this rescue.
The three friends marched out of the bedroom together, leaving the safety of the soft carpet behind. They walked down the long, dark hallway. To a small squishy toy, the wooden floor felt like a vast and endless desert. They moved quietly, making sure not to wake the sleeping house. Finally, they reached the bathroom. The tall white bathtub looked like a massive porcelain mountain. Bao looked up and realized they needed a clever plan to climb such a tall and smooth surface.
Cheddar pointed to a soft, blue towel hanging over the side of the tub. He explained his idea and went first. Cheddar used his cheese holes to grip the fabric securely, climbing up the towel like a ladder. Taba followed him closely. Her natural sticky material kept her completely safe from slipping on the vertical drop. Bao climbed up the fabric right behind them, guided by Cheddar. It took a lot of effort, and they had to stop twice to catch their breath, but they finally reached the top.
When they pulled themselves over the top edge, they found the small plastic boat resting precariously near the curve of the tub. However, the path to the boat was blocked by a giant bottle of pink shampoo and a massive yellow sea sponge. Cheddar took the lead, carefully squeezing his squishy body between the heavy bottle and the cold wall. Bao and Taba followed in a single file line. The porcelain edge was wet from the evening bath, making every step treacherous.
They finally reached the boat. Cheddar tried to pull it towards them, but his smooth silicone hands kept sliding off the wet porcelain edge. Suddenly, Cheddar lost his footing and started to slide toward the inside of the deep tub. Taba stepped forward instantly to help her friend. She told them her sticky paws were designed perfectly for slippery surfaces.
Taba held onto Cheddar with one strong hand, anchoring him safely to the edge. With her other hand, she reached out toward the boat. Her sticky pink paw grabbed the side of the plastic boat perfectly. She pulled it back to safety with ease, lifting it away from the slippery slope.
Bao cheered quietly for his friends. They had saved the boat and each other. Now came the hard part of getting down. Taba held the boat securely against her sticky chest. Cheddar went down the towel first to guide their feet, while Bao followed closely behind Taba to make sure she did not drop the boat. They carefully climbed back down the hanging towel, working in perfect harmony.
They walked back down the hallway and returned the plastic boat safely to the toy bin before anyone noticed it was missing. The team sat together on the bedroom floor, feeling very proud of their hard work. Cheddar and Taba realized that by combining their different strengths, they could overcome any giant obstacle in the house.
