A girl named Lilo lived on the island of Hawaii one day. She was intelligent, adventurous, and entertaining. Stitch was the best buddy she had. But Stitch was a humorous blue extraterrestrial, not simply a dog! Despite his large ears, sharp fangs, and penchant for foolish behavior, Lilo adored him.
It was a warm and sunny day. Lilo and Stitch were going to the beach. Lilo packed some peanut butter sandwiches and her camera, and Stitch brought his sunglasses. They laughed and played in the sand. Stitch even made a sandcastle with three towers!
While they were walking near the water, Stitch saw something shiny. He ran to it and found a bottle. Inside the bottle was a note. Lilo opened it and read out loud: “Help! I’m lost and can’t find my spaceship!”
Lilo looked at Stitch. “We have to help this person!” she said.
Stitch nodded. They saw little footprints in the sand. “Let’s follow them!” said Lilo.
The footprints led them into the forest. It was green and full of birds singing. Stitch held Lilo’s hand because some parts were dark. Then they heard someone crying.
Under a big tree, they saw a tiny green alien. He had a round head and little hands. He looked very sad.
“Hi, I’m Lilo, and this is Stitch. What’s your name?” she asked.
“I’m Timmy,” the alien said. “My spaceship is stuck in a tree, and I can’t go home.”
“Don’t worry, Timmy,” Lilo said. “We’ll help you!”
They walked together and found the tree. The spaceship was up, up, UP in the branches!
“Hmm,” Lilo said. “We need help.”
She whistled a pretty song. Soon, birds came flying from the trees. They chirped and flew in circles.
“Can you help us, birds?” Lilo asked.
The birds flew up and pushed the spaceship gently. Stitch climbed the tree and pulled on the ship. Slowly, the spaceship came down to the ground. Timmy smiled really big.
“Yay! Thank you so much!” he said.
Timmy hugged Lilo and Stitch. “I’ll visit you again!”
Then he got in his spaceship. Lights blinked and the ship zoomed up into the sky, leaving sparkles behind.
Lilo and Stitch watched the stars. “That was awesome,” Lilo said.
Stitch wagged his ears and smiled.
They walked back home, holding hands. The sky was pink and orange. They felt happy because they helped a new friend.
And from that day, they knew: even if someone comes from space, they can still be a friend. And friends always help each other.
